Franz Niebling, Aka Francis Niebling, Aka Frank Niebling, a 25 year old Tailor and resident of Philadelphia, enlisted in company E of the 21st Pennsylvania 3 Month Regiment on April 29 1861, and mustered out August 8 1861. He then enlisted in Company E of the 75th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment on August 27 1861 in Philadelphia. Promoted to Corporal date unknown. Promoted to 1st Sergeant date unknown. Reenlisted January 1 1864 in Chattanooga Tennessee. Captured November 30th 1864. Discharged by General order # 77 on June 13, 1865 as a Veteran. Husband of Olga Niebling. 5' 7" tall with grey eyes, light complexion, and light hair.
