Sarah married James Crawford.

"Mrs. Sarah Crawford died at the home of her son Friday, May 18th, 1900, at the advanced age of eighty-two years and forty-one days. She was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Barney and was born in Barrington, Yates County, N. Y., being one of a large family of children, of whom only three survive her, Mrs. Nancy Drake, of Fowler, Mich., aged eighty-seven years, William Barney, of Burns, N. Y., aged seventy-nine years, and Mrs. Betsey Edmonds, of Cohocton, N. Y., aged seventy years. Two sons also survlve her, Clark, with whom she died, and Edward, both of the town of Burns, besides a wide circle of relatives and friends. Being of a Christian spirit, she was highly respected by all. The funeral was held at the Methodist Episcopal church, Canaseraga, Sunday at two p. M., Rev. G. W. Adams officiating."
