He married Marie Alice Linteau on March 10, 1946, in Maine.
He then married Wanda Jane 'Jane' Adams 1924–2010 and they had two children together, Michael Sean Bilslend born 29 Oct, 1949, and Jan Adams (Miller) born 4 March, 1956. He died on March 31, 2013, in North Highlands, California, at the age of 89.
