He started his adventures on December 8, 1932 in Bakersfield, CA and left for his final adventure on August 25, 2016 in Chico, CA to become the Head Sleigh Mechanic for Santa.

His adventures included 25 years in the military, Aircraft & Power-plant Instructor at Vo-Tech College in OK, a transport driver for children and their families to Shriner's Burn Hospital from OK to LA, earning his private pilot's license at age 59, assisting in the restoration of a World War II B-25 Bomber, traveling around the world in an Albatross in 2001. His family believes he made quite a dent in his bucket list.

His family & friends knew him as a loving, caring & sometimes stubborn family man. He had a wonderful sense of humor and known for his very colorful western shirts.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia, two daughters, Cathy Burkett (Dean), Robyn Wilkins (Rick) and one son, Robert Wilkins (Renee). He had 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

The Military funeral service will be on September 12, 2016 at 2:30 pm at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA. A reception will follow immediately after the service, directions to the reception will be handed out. The family would love for you to join them for snacks & stories about Frank "Corky".

In lieu of flowers, you can send donations to the Shriner's Hospital for Children (www.shrinershospitalforchildren.org) or St Jude Children's Hospital (www.stjude.org).
