Terry Jerome Abbott, 61, of Osage City, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2016, at University of Missouri Hospital. He was born on March 17, 1955 in Jefferson City, a son of the late Charles Edward and Frances Viola (Moad) Abbott. On March 14, 2007, he was united in marriage to Ana M. Ayala, she survives at the home.
Terry was a lifelong resident of the Jefferson City area and attended Jefferson City High School. He was a former member of the Freedom of the Road Riders and loved his motorcycle and all the friends he made as a motorcycle enthusiast. Terry had a big heart, a lively spirit and zest for life and lived it to the fullest.
Along with his wife, Ana, he is survived by his daughters: Christina Higgins, Terri Jo Ayala, Helen Segovia and Gladis Segovia, all of Jefferson City; siblings: Mary Nixon of Holts Summit, Betty Volmert (Tom) of Jefferson City, Roger Abbott (Michelle Sullivan) of Osage City, Doris Paneitz (Jim Schaller) of Osage City; sister-in-law: Vicky Abbott; grandchildren: William Foley Jr., Cortney Higgins, Brandon Higgins, Erick Ayala, Cameron Higgins; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Charles Edward "Sonny" Abbott Jr., and Ronald Lee "Bo" Abbott; brother-in-law: Allen E. Nixon; and a nephew: Sonny M. Wilder.
Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors.
