He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Franklin Taylor; and a sister, Carolyn Taylor Allen.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mary Ellen Taylor of the home; daughters, Beverly Lynn Taylor, Jennifer Taylor Hickman (Kevin), and Marsha Taylor Brisson (Edward Hester) all of Lumberton; brothers, Robert Charles Taylor (Elizabeth) of Ocean Isle and Donald Clifton Taylor, Jr. of Lumberton; and grandchildren, Reid Hickman, Matthew Hickman, Raiden Burns, and Blade Burns.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street in Lumberton.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to be sent to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037 or a charity of your choice.
