Glenda Jo McEntyre Page 79 went home to her heavenly reward on Aug. 26th, 2016 at her daughters residence in Cartersville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby C Page, father, Joel D McEntyre, mother, Nina Braden McEntyre, son in law Thomas McDermott, and a brother, Terry Denver McEntrye.

She was born at her family’s old home place July 30th 1937 in Adairsville, Ga. She graduated from Model High Schoolin 1955. She lived most of her life in the Rome area with a brief period in the city of Clearwater Florida. Glenda loved her family and took great pride in taking care of homemaker duties as well as working full time. She worked in the mill at Lindale GA, Krystal, in Fl, East Rome High School, and most of her working life at Kmart. Glendaserved as department head of domestics and as an area store reset team leader.

Glenda was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church Rome, GA. She enjoyed singing hymns and seeing her friends. When her children were in high school she was active in band boosters and loved going to the East Rome High Football and Band events. She was known for pulling people aside at Kmart and showing pictures and sharing stories of her grandchildren, and cooking peoples meals.

Her sons would like to publicly thank their sister Melanie and her two sons, for taking such great and loving care of Mom during her illness with Alzeheimer’s. Her sweet smile and squeeze of a hand will be cherished forever.

She is survived by her sister Nell (Larry) Baker, of Douglasville, GA; children Jeff (Donna) Page, of Ooltewah, TN; Carlton L Page, Rome, GA; Melanie McDermott, Cartersville; Grandchildren, Matthew (Ashleigh) Page, Kathleen (Tyler) Lane, Thomas Pulliam, and David Pulliam, great grandchildren, Braden Page, Annabelle Page, Isaac Page, and Maggie Lane.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday August 30, 2016, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Lambert, officiating. Interment will follow in Morning View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of the service on Tuesday, Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.
