Fannie E. Nichols--daughter of Eugene and Sarah Turtin of Chilo, Clermont Col., Ohio, was born April, 1879 and died April 17, 1901. Besides her father, mother and husband, she leaves three brothers and one sister in her native town in Ohio. She was married Dec. 25, 1899 to Hiram S. Nichols by Rev. J. W. Darling of Moscow, Ohio. Although she died far away from her native home and relatives she was surrounded by kind friends who vied with each other in trying to make her last moments pleasant and peaceful. Her Ohio friends here in Coupeville are grateful to the ladies of the island for their attention and solicitude during her short stay with them.
