Raymond L. "Sonny" Bowen, 74, of Williamstown and formerly of Pendleton County, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. He was a retired customer service supervisor with U.S. Airways and Piedmont Airlines. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member and former Deacon of Williamstown Christian Church.Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Marsha Glass Bowen; sons, Jeff (Phyllis) Bowen of Conyers, Ga. and Chuck (Lori) Bowen of Lexington; a daughter, Becky Bowen Brown of Williamstown; his mother, E. Marie Wallace Bowen Turner of Williamstown; a brother, James Bowen of Tampa, Fla.; sisters, Brenda Montgomery of Dry Ridge and Elaine (Barry) Kinman of Crittenden and five grandchildren, Anthony Sarcione, Jeremy Bowen, Braeden Bowen, Carter Sarcione, and Brinlee Bowen. -
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Bowen; a brother, Rev. Danny Glenn Bowen and a sister, Bette Burlew.Funeral services were held on Sept. 29 at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown. Burial was in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge. Memorials are suggested to Williamstown Christian Church
