Kate Wills Correa was the daughter of Marcus and Virginia Wills. She was born in Ft. Lupton, Colorado in 1863 before it became a state. She was barely two when her father was murdered while bringing a load of freight and supplies back to the fort. Her mother and siblings moved back to Missouri until returning to Colorado in about 1882. Kate married Joseph V. Correa on March 1, 1886 in a double wedding ceremony with her younger sister, Ida Frances Wills and Amos Henck in Denver, Colorado. She had two children, Pearl and Earl Correa.
