She was born September 7, 1924, in Knox County, the 10th child of John Bernard and Barbara Anne Kreutz Wessels. She married Lawrence J. Berky in 1942. They had one daughter, Virginia. Larry preceded her in death in 1964. She married John D. Larson of Galva in 1977. He preceded her in death in 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Leahy and husband, Bill, of Galesburg; four grandchildren, Lora Wright, Billy Leahy, David Leahy, and Steve Leahy, five great grandchildren, Mike Powell, Lindsey Powell, Tyler Leahy, Zachary Leahy, and Lauren Leahy; one step-son, Bill Larson of Virginia; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Linda Leahy in 1982.
Marian worked at the former Gale Products Division of Outboard Marine Corporation. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Rev. Msgr. Ernest Pizzamiglio will officiate. There will be no visitation.
