Ronald Kenneth Belcher, 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 26, 2016.

Services will be held at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 30th. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31st with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Ron was born October 9, 1939 in Des Moines, Iowa to Harvey and Dorothy (Wagner) Belcher.

He was a proud long-time active member of IBEW Local 347 for 57 years.

Ron was a hero and a mentor to his family. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.

He was an adamant Hawkeye fan who lived and breathed black and gold. He coached Little League in his younger years and he made many memories with his family camping on the family land at Lake Marie.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Belcher and his son, Michael Belcher.
