Laura Susan Proctor was born on the 22nd of May, 1950 in Hicksville, New York. She was the daughter of Clarence Stork and his wife Jessie.

She was first married and had two sons, James Sisson and David Sisson.

She married Rick Proctor on July 22, 1989; he preceded her in death in 2010.

Laura worked for Continental Grain company in Portland for many years. The company was located in 'The Black Box' in Portland. Later, after Continental closed its doors, she began working in grain accounting for Kalama Export, which was more recently re-named Pacificor, LLC; located in the Bank Tower buiding in Portland, Oregon She worked diligently for both grain companies, and was admired by those who worked along side her. In the early days of Continental, Laurie played on the company softball team, playing against other teams in the grain trade. Laurie was a member of the Elks Lodge.

One of Laurie's favorite past-times was singing Karaoke. Those who heard her voice said she had a voice like an angel.

A memorial service was held for Laurie at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27th at Stehn's Family Chapel in Milwaukie, Oregon. The memorial showed a beautiful video showing photos and special memories from Laurie's life. The memorial was attended by many family and friends, during which many spoke of this fine woman.

Laura is survived by her sons, David Sisson and wife, Tanya and James Sisson; and four grandchildren, Andrew Sisson, Dillon Sisson, Jason Sisson and Dominique Sisson. She will be rememberd fondly by all whom had the pleasure of knowing her.
