Margaret K. Conner, 96, of Canton, passed away at 2:23 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at Sunset Manor Nursing Home in Canton. She was born on April 6, 1919 in Orion Township to William D. and Pearl N. (Seybert) Hardesty Sr.

Margaret married Gordon M. Conner on April 5, 1942 in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1984.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Charles L. Hardesty, and William D. Hardesty Jr.; and one sister, Marilyn J. Wilher.

Surviving is one daughter, Bonnie Belles; three grandchildren, Tammy Belless, Sherry Maclaren, and Gordon Belless; and three great-grandchildren, Dominque Belless, Natasha Belless, and Jarel Belless.

Margaret worked at Proctor Hospital of Peoria and Graham Hospital of Canton in the nursing profession until she retired. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Cremation Rites have been accorded. There will be no services held. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home in Canton, is in charge of arrangements. Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
