JACKSON – Blanche 87, Johnstown, died August 21, 2016 at LaurelWood Care Center. Born May 25, 1929 in Blairsville, daughter of Rev. Hubert W. and Evada (Chapman) Hall. Preceded in death by parents; husband William H., Jr.; son William H., III; and brother Donald H. Survived by daughters, Pamela (John Bush), Wildwood, MO; Cynthia (Charles Galloway), Charlotte, NC; and Elaine (Peter Retondo), Oakland, CA. Also survived by 8 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. Blanche was a past president of the Oakland PTA and was a member of the Talus Rock Girl Scout Council. Prior to starting a family with her husband, Bill, Blanche worked in offices of the Cambria County Prothonotary as well as the New York City District Attorney. Friends received from 11am until the hour of service at 1pm Saturday at First Cambria AME Zion Church, with Rev. James E. Johnson officiating. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
