Mrs. Sylvia Kathern Dye, age 86, of Heber Springs, Arkansas, passed away at her home on Monday, December 8, 2003. Born at Banner, Arkansas, on May 31, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Marlie and Birdie (Hayes) Arnold. Mrs. Dye was a mother and homemaker, and she had been a resident of Cleburne County most of her life. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband, Delbert Dye, preceded her in death on November 29, 1974. She is survived by one son, Garland N. Dye and his wife, Mary, of Memphis, Tennessee, one daughter, Noma Staggs and her husband, John, of West Point, Mississippi, one brother, Arbon Arnold of Decatur, Michigan, two sisters, Dorothy Lafkin of Heber Springs, Arkansas, and Hope Brackett of Desha, Arkansas, four grandchildren and one great grandchild. Mrs. Dye is also survived by other relatives and her many friends.
