"David E. Stark, 80, of 1905 Lawn, died Sunday at a nursing home at 5900 Swope Parkway. He was born in Tuscumbia, Mo., and had lived here about 40 years. Mr. Stark was a retired printer for Box Office Magazine. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Clara E. Stark of the home; four sons, William E. Stark of 9300 Old Santa Fe Road, Daniel D. Stark of Akron, Ohio, Kenneth E. Stark of Denver and Glenn Stark of Tucson; two daughters, Mrs. Lois L. Conkle of Anaheim, Calif., and Mrs. Betty June Thompson of Borger, Tex.; three brothers, Emerson Stark of Springfield, Mo., Joe Stark of Hiawatha, Kan., and Perry Stark of Pittsburg, Kan.; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Abbett of Iberia, Mo., and Mrs. Liza Abbett of Eldon, Mo.; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Earp Truman Road Chapel; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, August 7, 1973
