Grace Addy McCoy WEST COLUMBIA - Mrs. Grace Addy McCoy, 91, of West Columbia, SC, formerly of Pageland, SC went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 24, 2016, while surrounded by her loving family. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28 at The Chapel of the Holy Spirit at Still Hopes, 1 Still Hopes Drive, West Columbia, SC 29169 with burial to follow at Bethany Baptist Church, 1146 Manville-St. Charles Road, Bishopville, SC 29010. Father Johnnie M. Davis will officiate. Visitation will be at the Guignard Mansion at Still Hopes at 1 p.m. Mrs. McCoy was a member of Pageland Presbyterian Church, the Women of the Church, and served as church music director for many years. Born November 18, 1924, in Gilbert, she was the daughter of Evans Oliver and Eva Kathleen Price Addy. She was married to the late John Emil McCoy for 58 years. Mrs. McCoy was a graduate of Gilbert High and Winthrop University. After beginning her career in Barnwell and Lee Counties, she taught elementary grades as well as high school music in Pageland schools. Survivors include daughters, Suzanne Addy McCoy Young and her husband, J. Larry Young of Pawleys Island, SC, Mary Elizabeth McCoy Stuckey of Columbia, SC, and Kathryn Eve McCoy of Columbia, SC, also seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is her brother, Earl Addy, of West Columbia, SC. The family requests that memorials be made to Pageland Presbyterian Church, PO Box 445, Pageland, SC 29728, or to the charity of one's choice. Baumgartner Funeral Home of Pageland is in charge of arrangements.
