CHAPPELL – Charles R. Jr., 54, Cresson, died unexpectedly on Aug. 18, 2016. Born Dec. 14, 1961, in Bellville, N.J., son of Charles R. and Verna Chappell of Cairnbrook. Preceded in death by grandparents, aunts and uncles. Survived by parents; brothers, Michael, Rockport; Christopher (Linda), Greensburg; and Eric (Dixie), Ashland, Va.; nephew, Logan; nieces, Cassidy, Jordan, Madison and Emerson; and aunts, Pauline Oldham and Margaret Donahue. Charles grew up in Cairnbrook, graduating from Shade High School. He attended Bluefield State College in West Virginia, playing for their football team. An avid antiques enthusiast, Steelers and Penguins fan, and looked forward to annual fishing trips with his dad, brothers and uncle. He was a very caring person, always concerned about the well-being of others. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where funeral service will be sung at 7 p.m. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, the Very Rev. Miles Zdniak, Deacon Oleg Aminov. Committal, parish cemetery. (www.mulcahyfuneralhome.co m)
