H. L. PACKARD DROWNS:

The funeral of H. L. Packard of Denver was held here Wednesday afternoon and interment made in the Atwood Cemetery. The Denver Post on Monday carried the story of his death which occurred Sunday while he and his brother-in-law, A. F. Badger, were on a fishing trip to Baseline Lake near Boulder. Their skift capsized when they were struck by a severe wind storm. Both attempted to swim ashore but couldn’t make it. Mr. Badger was rescued by fishermen but they were unable to help Mr. Packard.

Mr. Packard was well known in this county having lived here for many years. He is survived by his widow and daughter, Lucille, 16 years old, both of Denver.
