Christine "Chris" Sullivan, passed away quietly and peacefully shortly before her 93rd birthday. Chris was born to Josephine Devane and Daniel Cullen August 1, 1923 in San Francisco, CA.

Chris was the beloved wife of 59 years to Martin Leo Sullivan, who she married on May 16, 1944 while he was home on leave from the United States Navy. They met at a Halloween party on Clement St. in San Francisco while in high school. Marty preceded her in death in 2003.

Chris graduated from Polytechnic High school in San Francisco in 1942. After graduating Chris worked for an insurance company on Market Street then later went to work for Lenkurt Electric Co. in San Carlos, which is now Verizon. She retired from Lenkurt after 30 years as a supervisor.

Chris aka Tish, was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always remembering them on holidays with cards, treats and gifts. She was the devoted mother of Roy (Janis) Sullivan, Martin Jr. (Karen) Sullivan, Jo (Jim) Baugh, and Theresa (Alan) Rodgers, as well as the loving grandmother of Jennifer, Ryan, Shaun (Sueanna), Kevin (Kym), Dana, Michael, and Eric Sullivan. She took pride in being the Great-grandmother of Jeremy Sullivan, Abigail Thiffault, and Jordan Parish. She is also survived by her sister's children Daniel (Karen) Shea, Kathleen Shea Fanoe, Bart (Dory) Shea Jr., Lorna Shea and Christine Shea. Chris also leaves behind dear friends, Glo and Don Welton.

Mom was preceded in death by her parents, son Martin 'Marty' Joseph Sullivan and his wife Karen, her sister Margaret Ann (Peg) Shea, and dear friend from childhood, Pat Bowler.

The Sullivan family would like to thank all the truly attentive and caring staff at Complete Senior Living and Pathways Hospice Foundation for providing the peace and comfort Mom needed in her finals days.

Visitation Service will be held at 8:30am on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's Funeral Home, 977 S. El Camino Real, San Mateo, CA. Mom will be laid to rest beside her husband and near her son at Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo, CA.
