DOUCETTE-John Leonard- age 89 passed away peacefully at the Villa St. Joseph du Lac on Thursday October 24, 2013. Born in Cedar Lake on January 31, 1924 he was the son of the late Francois “Frank” Céléno Doucette and Leonise Eunice Clements. John was a kind hearted and loving man. He was a good friend for many years that will be missed by many. He is survived by his sister, Pauline Muise; and many nieces and nephews as well as long time friend Jean Bourque. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sisters, Angie Babin, Léa, Francoise, Viola, Cerina, and Rose Marie. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. There was no visitation by request. A funeral mass was held at St. Ambrose Cathedral on October 28, 2013 at 10 a.m. Interment followed in St. Vincent de Paul Parish Cemetery, Salmon River, Digby Co., N.S. Donations in John’s memory may be made to the Yarmouth Food Bank.
