On May 3, 2015 Jacob G. Stone passed away at the Dove House in Westminster, Maryland at age 93. He was the beloved husband of the late Eddie Mae Stone for more than 70 years. Mr. Stone served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and later worked at Locke Insulator/General Electric of Baltimore for 37 years. Fishing and crabbing were among his favorite pass times. Later, he and his wife enjoyed retirement as snowbirds, sharing their time between Ft. Myers, Florida and Baltimore. He always loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Stone was the devoted father of Patricia Mackert, Maysha Nash, Mary Schack, and Larry Stone, loving grandfather of Amy Herdegen, Lisa Zimlin, Jennifer Bombassaro, and Stephanie Bellino and great grandfather of Thomas, Leah, Sydney, and Benjamin. He was also dear brother of Riley Stone, Arlene Melton and the late Jack Stone.
Friends may visit Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Highway, Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Service Saturday at 11am. Interment in Cedar Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Dove House c/o Carroll Hospice 292 Stoner Avenue Westminster, MD 2115
