Marvin Randolph Stephenson, 93, died July 30, 2007, at the home of his daughter in Toano, VA. Born in Seaboard, NC, he was the son of the late James Berry and Roberta J. Stephenson and the widower of Margaret Elizabeth Howell Stephenson. He was preceded in death by his grandson Jason R. Williams; brothers Edger Stephenson, Ernest Stephenson, Fred Stephenson; and sisters Maude Outland and Elma Jones.

Mr. Stephenson owned and operated Suffolk Tire Co. for forty three years and was a WW II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was a Life Deacon and former trustee of First Baptist Church Suffolk, a member of the Gideons the Lions Club, and the Retail Merchants Association in Suffolk.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Sue S. and Marshall Williams of Toano, Va; grandson and wife J. Wade and Julie Williams of Old Hickory TN; great grandchild Natalie and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in First Baptist Church by the Rev Bill Cashman with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home & Crematory 509 W. Washington St. Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
