Roger Dale Murphy, 62, of Paris, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at Paris Regional Medical Center. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, Aug. 30th, at Old Union Cemetery in Titus County with Rev. Kathy French officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Roger, the son of Andrew Jackson Murphy & Bonnie Murphy, was born May 17, 1954, in Texarkana, Texas. His career at Merico Box and Huhtamaki spanned thirty-eight years before his retirement. His parents and a brother, William H. Murphy, preceded him in death. Survivors include two children, Rachel Brown & husband Brent of Paris and Raleigh Ashmore & Alisha Saldana of Weatherford, three grandchildren, Hope Brown, Faith Brown and Trent Brown, an aunt, Patsy Green of Paris, a sister-in-law, Rosa Murphy of Arkansas along with several cousins, nieces & nephews including Terry Murphy of Aiken, SC and Sheryl Stennett of Vicksburg, MS and a host of friends.
