Elizabeth Werner age 86 of Waynesburg died Friday, August 26, 2016 in Washington Hospital after suffering a massive heart attack. She was born June 10, 1930 in Wilmington, OH, a daughter of the late Taylor and Veda Hadley Moore.

On August 16, 1952 she married Christopher Werner Jr., who died April 13, 2005.

Mrs. Werner was a retired seamstress for Greenway Manufacturing in Waynesburg. She had also worked as a crossing guard at Margaret Belle Miller Middle School in Waynesburg for several years.

She attended the First Christian Church of Waynesburg. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and caring for the family dogs, Peanut and Pooh Bear.

Surviving are three daughters, Marsha Milliken (John) of Waynesburg, Sharon Harris (Terry) of Kingwood, WV, and Lillian Royer (Will Wood) of Claysville; son-in-law, Charles Royer of Ellsworth; 9 grandchildren, John C. Milliken, Nikki Cole, Aaron Swearinger, Herbert Swearinger Jr., Melissa McGinnis, Matthew Swearinger, Chuckie Royer, Michelle Royer, and Jonathan Royer; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister, MaryAnna Cherryholmes of Wilmington, OH.
Deceased are 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Moore and David Royer; one sister, Carrie Stuckert; and one brother, Robert Moore.

Friends will be received from 12 noon until 3 p.m., the hour of services on Monday, August 29, 2016 in Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 182 West High St., Waynesburg with Rev. John H. Milliken officiating followed by interment in Rosemont Cemetery, at Rogersville.
