Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at First Baptist Church of Bronte with burial to follow in Blackwell Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Jean was born Aug. 21, 1935, in Fisher County, Texas, to Cecil and Ollie Crain.
Jean grew up in Nolan County, Texas, and graduated from Blackwell High School.
She married Wiley Moore in 1952. To this union were born daughter Pat Moore Michael and son Michael Moore, followed by one granddaughter, one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
In 1987, Jean married Jimmie Guthrie and they celebrated 29 years of marriage on Aug. 8, 2016.
Jimmie's family are sons Russell and Vince Guthrie and daughters, Fawn Scott and Elizabeth Jackson and all their children.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving her are two brothers, Richard and Kenneth Crain; two sisters, Sue White and JC Hollway; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation are appreciated.
