WATERTOWN [Litchfield Co.]—Filbert W. Alford, 91, formerly of Watertown, died on Friday, May 17, 2002 at the Masonic Home of Wallingford [New Haven Co.]. Services were private. Lyons Funeral Home at 46 High Street in Thomaston handled arrangements.

Mr. Alford was born December 15, 1910, in Plymouth [Litchfield Co.]. He was the son of the late Lewis and Maude Haney Alford. He was a retired purchasing agent of the Timex Corporation and was a former member of the Watertown Congregational Church. He was a past master of the Masons Federal Lodge 17 in Watertown and was a 32nd Degree Mason. He was a member of Scottish Rites Grand Lodge of Connecticut and was also a member of the Cape Cod Shriner's Temple.

He leaves a daughter, Susan Ross of Anaheim Hills, California and two grandchildren, Eric Ross of Westerly, Rhode Island and Samantha Ross of Boston, Massachusetts.

His wife, Grace Allport Alford, preceded him in death.
