Albert Edward ANNALLS : Royal Navy :Died on the 17th of July 1942. Aged 16.
Royal Navy Sick Quarters, Isle of Man.

Albert was born on the 5th of March 1926 in Guildford - son of William George Annalls and Ellen Louie (nee Sandon). His parents had married at St Peter's, Frimley on the 1st August 1921.
Albert's father George was a Carman (or carter) at this time - living in Frimley Green.

Their eldest son George William Sandon was born just before they married.
They had a further seven children of whom Albert was their second eldest.
From 1924 until 1928 the family resided at Laurel Cottages in Hale and then at Heath End, Farnham.
In 1933 the family move back to Frimley Green to a house known as Oakwood in Bedford Lane.
It was here in 1935 that Albert's younger sister Ellen died at the age of 11 months and was buried at St Peter's on the 8th March 1935 .
Albert's younger brother Douglas died aged seven months in 1937. The family had moved to 8 Cross Street, Camberley (He was buried at St Michael's in Camberley).
Given the age of Albert he would have attended both Frimley C of E School and Camberley School, which was just across a narrow lane from Cross Street.

In 1942 Albert was serving as a Boy, 2nd class, on HMS George which was a shore-based training establishment at Douglas on the Isle of Man . He was either wounded or became seriously ill and died due to cardiac failure during an operation on his abdomen.
He was just 16.
His obituary (Surrey Advertiser 1st August 1942) reveals he had been a pupil at Frimley School and that his parents were in 1942 living in Hamesmoor Road in Mytchett.

Albert was buried here at St Peter's in Frimley .

When his father died in 1966 he too was buried in St Peter's churchyard.
(No grave has been identified for either his father or his baby sister).
