Ishpeming – Donna K. Richards, age 68, of 17070 Co. Rd. 581, Ishpeming passed away on Saturday August 6, 2016 at her home.
Donna was born February 21, 1948 in Negaunee the daughter of Martin E. and Jean D. (Perry) Levi. She grew up in Black River Location and was a 1965 graduate of the Republic High School. Following graduation she moved to Negaunee and became a teller at the First National Bank of Negaunee. She married Joseph C. Richards on Feb 7, 1970 in Ishpeming and they resided in this area since that time. Donna had also worked as a site hostess for Meals on Wheels at AMCAB along with being a private caregiver for 10 years.
Donna loved her family, especially when it came to her grandchildren, whose activities and events she loved to attend. Donna also enjoyed time spent at Bass Lake, cooking, playing cards, BINGO and attending rummage sales & auctions where she would often find a new antique. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her husband Joseph Richards of Ishpeming, a daughter Michele (Mark) Bertucci of Ishpeming, 3 grandchildren – Shane Nardi, Nick Bertucci and his girlfriend Morgan Skytta and Mariah Bertucci, 2 sisters Janet Wiley of Gwinn and Sandy Levi of Ishpeming, sister-in-law – Betty (Jim) Miller and brother-in-law Frank Richards both of Ishpeming, nieces and nephews – Lisa (Bill) Wiley-Westman, Diana (Steve) Windahl, Joseph (Jamie) Richards, Terri Jo (Tyler Hollo) Richards along with several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws – Frank and Lucy Richards, brother-in-law Bob Wiley and sister-in-law Kelly Richards.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 4 until 6 pm on Thursday August 11, 2016 at the Faith Lutheran Church, Co. Rd. 581, Ishpeming. A memorial service will follow at 6:00pm on Thursday at the Faith Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dave Johnson officiating. A luncheon will follow the services in the church hall.
