Rev. Jerry Wayne Chatham, 73, of Devonshire Lane, Taylorsville, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, August 25, 2016 at his residence.
Rev. Chatham was born July 21, 1943 in Alexander County to the late Hugh Chatham and Novella Isenhour Chatham.
He was the pastor of Emerald Baptist Church.
Including his parents, he was preceded in death by: two brothers, Earl and Gene Chatham; two sisters, Ann Pennell and Brenda Smith.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his wife, Brenda Reid Chatham; a daughter, Sandra Lackey and husband, Dale, of Taylorsville; a granddaughter, Chasity Collins; three grandsons, Shannon Hinson, Donnie Hinson and wife, Amber, and Jerry Dale Lackey; six great-grandchildren; a sister, Joyce Russell and husband, Abe, of Taylorsville; two brothers, Jimmy Chatham and wife, Jeanette, Tommy Chatham and wife, Cathy, all of Taylorsville.
The funeral service will be 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Tom Lambert will officiate.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
