Received August 24, 1935, Professed August 25, 1936, and Ordained June 7, 1942. Father Mario's ministry covered many facets of life. He gave devoted service as chaplain of the Anchor Club of America, the Knights of Columbus, and head of the Tour and Pilgrimage Office. His many years as Guardian, Provincial's Secretary, and Secretary of the Province showed his capacity in administration. Our missionaries will always remember his years as Procurator of the Missions. "Youth of today have always been called the men of tomorrow". These words written by Father Mario were a motivating force of his priestly ministry. Both Christopher Columbus and Cardinal Hayes High Schools felt the impact of this belief. Ever eager to be up to date, he enrolled, during his golden years, in Catholic University's Theology Department. Ill health drew him to California's more favorable climate where he continued to dedicate himself to the ministry of serving God's people. May He whom Mario served receive him forever. He also served in Brooklyn, Bronx. Father Mario passed away at the Massachusett General Hospital and viewed in a priest casket at St. Francis of Assissi Church in East Cambridge, Mass.
