Beatrice passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Lansing, MI. She was born to J.T. and Myrtle (Mentzy) Porter.

She was raised in the Salvation Army Church, where she was active as a bell-ringer and later as a trumpet player while in high school. She participated in the Lansing Silver Blades throughout her adulthood, and was very active at Haslett Community Church, both as a member and as a choir singer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Reed, her brother, Harold Porter, and three grandchildren, Amy Reed, Dustin Davis, and Michelle Reed.

Bea will be lovingly remembered by her children, Ronald F. (Tina) Reed, Danna (Mike) Dixon, and Pamela (Paul) Ditchoff; her grandchildren, Dean (Jennifer) Ditchoff, Ron A.(Becky) Reed, Josh (Stephanie) Ditchoff, Brad (Stacey) Reed, Kari (Jason) Warner, Dan (Brenda) Hodge, Debbie (Dave Voiles) Ditchoff, Michael (Mike Holly) Dixon, and Patty (Todd) Olson; several great-grandchildren; her niece, Patty Porter Herman; and two special friends, Sonja McCarty and Fran Coryell.
