MARRIAGE (Armitage -- McLeod, 1911)

Coaticook, Dec. 1. -- (Special). -- The marriage of Mr. Charles H. Armitage, son of Mr. and Mrs. P. H. Armitage of Coaticook of Coaticook, to Miss Alicia Dora McLeod, took place Wednesday at Keith, Que., at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman McLeod.

The ceremony was performed by Rev. A. H. Bisset?, Methodist Minister of Coaticook. The wedding party was confined largely to the near relatives of the contracting parties, still there were some forty in attendance. The bride, prettily gowned and wearing the customary wedding veil, presented a very charming appearance. At the close of the ceremony a recherche wedding breakfast was enjoyed by the guests. The esteem in which the bride if held by her numerous friend was evidence by the large number of beautiful and costly gifts which she received.

Mr. and Mrs. Armitage took train for Montreal and Quebec, after which they will visit points in New England States before going to Coaticook to make their future home.
