Charles Adair Dies; Rites Are Friday

- Charles G. Adair, of 23 Park place, died yesterday in Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Mr. Adair was born in
Davenport, Delaware county, and had lived about 15 years in Schenectady. He was employed by the Alcamist beauty and barber supply firm on Albany street.

He is survived by two brothers, Andrew Adair of Unadilla and Claude Adair of Binghamton; two sisters, Mrs. Ina Somerville of Schenevus, and Mrs. May Vance of East Greenbush, and several nieces and nephews.

The Light funeral home will be open tomorrow afternoon and evening and the funeral service will be held there on Friday. Burial will be in Stanford.

He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marion Beck, Binghamton; a brother, Andrew Adair, Delhi; a sister, Mrs. Ina Summersville, Oneonta; a step-son, Lowell Page, Oneonta; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to the William R. Chase Son, Inc., Funeral Home, 44 Exchange St., where funeral services will be held Saturday with the Rev. Robert H. Darting, associate pastor of Vestal Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Chenango Valley Cemetery.
