Clara was called home to her heavenly Father and transitioned peacefully on the evening of August 25, 2016, after a lifetime of Christian love, she shared with all those in her life. She was survived by her loving daughter Sharon, son-in-law Mike (Nokes) and Clara's beautiful first born grandchild Brittni, who she adored with pride. Clara was also survived by her beloved baby girl Paula, and her grandson Miles, the apple of her eye.

Others who were blessed to have Clara in their lives, share in the grief felt by all. From her faithful church sisters and brothers, to her extended families of Mississippi, Michigan, and California, to her lifelong friends, her education colleagues, and lastly to every child she taught in her many years as an educator. Every young student who was blessed to pass through her class throughout the many years, were given the building blocks of love and understanding to be productive, and to strive to be the best they can be.

Heaven has a new angel, her homegoing now with her beloved departed family and friends, but especially now reunited with her beloved Willie, after 50 years apart. ~Sleep well.
