STEPHENVILLE — Lee Travis McKinney, 93, was born in Crosbyton, Texas to the late Rueben and Irene Bunnell McKinney.
Travis married Mildred Mae Willis on Dec. 28, 1946 in Stephenville. Mildred preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2011.
Travis was a farmer as well as a cattle buyer and seller for more than 60 years. He was a member of Harvey Baptist Church, past member of Cross Timbers Country Opry, a resident of Senior Care for the previous five years, and a lifelong resident of Stephenville.
Travis is survived by his sons, Ronnie and wife Brenda McKinney of Stephenville, and Dale and wife Marla McKinney of Stephenville; sister, Ruby Jean Beverly of Stephenville; grandchildren Brandon McKinney and wife Cathy, Travis McKinney and wife Kimberly, Jason McKinney and wife Kristi, Kayla McKinney Bloch and husband Dustin; great grandchildren, Carson, Kallyn, Camden, and Jayden McKinney, Bryce and Kelsey Bloch, and Damein, Samantha, and Sidney Beaver
Besides his parents and wife, Travis was also preceded in death by sisters, Jewel Lane and Patsy Shelton; and by a brother, Emmett McKinney.
