ALLENDALE - Anne Newsome Oswald, 75, wife of William Benjamin Oswald, died Sunday July 10, 2011.

Mrs. Oswald was a native of Brunson, SC and a daughter of Robert Boyce and Henrietta Combs Newsome. She was a graduate of Columbia College, former Chairman of Allendale Academy School Board, charter member of the Tridalian Club, member of Allendale Study Club and was South Carolina Master Homemaker of the Year.

Anne was a member of Brunson United Methodist Church where she served as the Adult Sunday School Class Teacher, member of Board of Trustees and served on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.

Graveside Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in Brunson Cemetery with Reverend Brian Preveaux officiating.

Survivors include her husband, William Benjamin Oswald; one son, William Benjamin Oswald, Jr.; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol O. and David Free; two grandsons and daughter-in-law, Sherman and Mary Ann Free and Hollens Free; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lillian N. Sherman and Amaryllis N. and Wendell Tyler; one sister-in-law, Cilla R. Newsome. She was predeceased by two brothers and one sister William E. Newsome, Robert Boyce Newsome, Jr. and Evelyn H. Newsome.

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
