Our sweet wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully in her home at the age of 88 on August 22, 2016.

Bev was born May 30, 1928 to Donald Baxter and Delia Newman White and was raised on the farm in Goshen, Utah. She graduated from Payson High School and then fell in love with her sweetheart C. Lee Newton who was from nearby Mona. They were married, later solemnized in the Logan temple, and have been happily married for 68 years, and had 5 children. They have lived in their home in Cottonwood Heights for 50 years.

She was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully during her life. She was a great cook and seamstress, and loved to travel and camp. Her greatest joy was spending time with Lee on the back porch, being with her family, watching her kids and grandkids play sports, and visiting with her many relatives and friends. She worked and became fast friends with her co-workers in the office for Midas Muffler for 24 years.

Bev is survived by her husband Lee, children Larry (Nancy), Donna (Mike) Anderson, Brad (Lani), daughter-in-law Debbie (Steve) VandeVeere, brother Marvin (Phyllis) White, sisters-in-law Wanda White and Winifred White, 16 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Brent and Kevin (infant), and three brothers Gail (Edith), Max, and Bill.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 11:00 am at the LDS church on 2300 East Bengal Blvd (7600 South). Friends and family may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Goff Mortuary, 8090 South State St. in Midvale, and from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Mona Cemetery at 3:00 pm.

There's still time to send flowers to the Visitation at the Goff Mortuary from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Aug 26, 2016.
