Frank Arther Eve was a co-pilot on board a C-141A Starlifter aircraft that crashed into Warrior Peak on the northwest face of Inner Mount Constance in the Olympic National Park in Washington State on March 20, 1975. The incident killed all sixteen aboard, and was found to be due to air traffic controller error.

It 1987, twelve years after the crash of the aircraft, a hiker in the Olympic mountains found a identification tag that belonged to Frank, who was one of the pilots on the aircraft. Evidently they turned in to the local park ranger station and they subsequently attempted to return it to McChord AFB where Frank was based.

For whatever reason, the Air Force told the ranger station there was no interest in receiving it back. The tag has been in the possession of the local Olympic National Park museum since that time.
