Edna was born in Ackerman, Mississippi on April 29, 1927, the daughter of James B. Collins and Edna L. (Vaughn) Collins. She later moved to the Yakima Valley where she was a homemaker. Mom was an avid gardener, quilt maker and seamstress.
She is survived by three sons, Donnie L Elliott, James M. Elliott (Teresa) and Steven E. Elliott (Jo jean), a daughter, Frances E. (Elliott) Drewniak all of Yakima; three grandchildren: Tami Elliott and Trechell (Elliott) Davidson (Joel) of Yakima, James M. Elliott of Iraq, one brother, Russell F. Collins of Yakima and three sisters, Marie Lakey of Yakima, Tiny Nilson and Nellie Nissen both of Lynnwood, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Gary Hill (nephew) for taking mom to see her sister Ethel who was very ill in Selah.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and one son, Edward C. Elliott.
A Memorial service will be held at Wiley Union Church, 2711 Wiley Rd., Yakima on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:30 a.m., followed by a potluck reception. Private inurnment will be at Terrace Heights Memorial Park. To share a memory Edna visit www.keithandkeith.com.
