Barry retired as a lineman from Verizon where he was employed for over 30 years. He was a 1965 graduate of Easton Area High School where he played baseball. Barry served with the Army during the Vietnam War. He loved spending time with his family, fishing and his cabin at Lake Wallenpaupack. Lord Barrymore enjoyed golfing and football trips with his friends. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him. Barry was a member of various local social clubs.
Surviving are two daughters, Gretchen Reed, of Montclair, NJ, and Monica McLaine and her husband Quentin, of Williams Township; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Quentin; an aunt and uncle, Ralph and Shirley Huston, of Palmer Township; sisters-in-law, Maryann Woodring and her husband David, of Moore Township, and Charlene Jones, of Washington, NJ; a brother-in-law, Robert Jones and his wife Jane, of Bloomsbury, NJ; cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St., Wilson Borough. Call Friday 5-7pm in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
