Patsy Jean Collins, 64, of Connelly Springs passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Sherrill's Ford.
Born August 3, 1952 in Fort Jackson, SC, she was the daughter of the late Edward Raymond Epley and Sarah Jean Wright Epley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Lynn Collins; daughter, Susan Epley and son, Raymond Epley.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan H. Arnett of Lawndale, two sons: Jerry Edgar Whitworth and wife Elizabeth of Maiden, Cecil Ka-Ham Williams and wife Rebekah of Connelly Springs; four sisters: Brenda Green, Patricia Hughes, both of Lincolnton, Melinda Trader of Kings Mountain, Gwen Epley of Iron Station; grandchildren: Christ Arnett, Rhyan Arnett, Amy Whitworth, Zachary Whitworth, Carmen Williams, Sarah Williams; and great-grandchildren: Haylee Bartolomei, Samantha Keller, Brook Keller, Riley Arnett, Alyssa Arnett, and Macon Monroe.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Exodus Missionary with the Rev. Reggie Longcrier officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Baptist Church in Rutherfordton, NC.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7 – 9:00 p.m. at Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory.
