Ruth Tessebel Bird, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Bird, passed away at the home, 304 West Eighth street at 3 o'clock Wednesday morning following a brief illness from scarlet fever. She was 2 years, 4 months and 11 days old at the time of her death and was the only child in the family. The mother is also reported as ill with the disease but is on the road to recovery. The remains were taken to Hastings where burial will take place.
