Mr. Stacy Lance Burnett, age 22 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Monday, August 22, 2016.
Born Sunday, September 19, 1993 in Urania, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Scottie Wayne Burnett.
Mr. Burnett was a 2011 graduate of Dodson High School and was currently an Officer for the Jonesboro, Louisiana City Police Department.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Stacy Burnett and Janie Chandler Burnett of Dodson, LA; son, Bentlee Wayne Burnett, also of Dodson, LA; sister, Brittney Lynn Burnett, of Pineville, LA; maternal grandparents, Rayford and Sherry Chandler of Dodson, LA; paternal grandparents, Ray and Dale Burnett, of Sikes, LA; fiancé, Savannah Wyrick, of Choudrant, LA; aunts and uncles, Jon and Tyronza Thomas, Ricky Burnett, Randy Burnett, Kim and Mitch DeCou; cousins, Jonathan Sharee and Kaleb Thomas, Ryan and Alison DeCou, Justin Burnett, Megan Burnett and Taylor and Erica Burnett; best friend since childhood, Jacob Higgs numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 25, 2016, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, and again on Friday, August 26, 2016, at Southern Funeral Home, from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Southern Funeral Home with Reverends Teddy Sharbono, Rayford Higgs and Rayford Chandler officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Cemetery, in Sikes.
