Beverly Sloan
1943-2005

Beverly Sue (Edwards) Sloan, 61, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, March 5, 2005, at home in Lebanon.

Born in Mt. Victory, Ky. on March 30, 1943, she was the oldest child of the late Delbert H. and Helena (Sears) Edwards. She married Donald E. Sloan on Dec. 8,1962 in Lebanon, and he survives.

She moved to Lebanon with her parents and younger brother when she was 14, and remained here until her death. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1961. She was an active community member, she was crowned Mrs. Boone County in 1991 and formed many lasting relationships as a result. She was a past President of the Gamma Mu chapter of Kappa Delta Phi, where she took great pleasure in community activities such as Breakfast with Santa, and Saturday on the Square. She worked at Kroger for 13 years before joining her husband's Insurance business in 1987. She loved her family and sorority sisters, as will as her many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors. She enjoyed her home, baking, gardening, reading and was a garage sale "junkie". She was loved by many, and will be sorely missed.

Survivors are her husband of Lebanon; three sons, Bret Sloan and Sean Sloan of Indianapolis and Chad Sloan and wife Lynette of Lebanon; a sister, Kellie Smith of Goshen; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Vickie Edwards of Lebanon; mother-in-law Thelma Sloan of Lebanon; and two grandchildren, Alivia and Corban Sloan.

Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Myers Mortuary, 1502 N. Lebanon St., Lebanon. Services are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, Pastor Jack Stanley officiating. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lebanon.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lebanon Bible Baptist Church, 1530 Riley Road, Lebanon, IN 46052; or to the Boone County Cancer Society, 210 E. Main St., Lebanon, IN 46052.
