Charlotte C. (Costella) O'Brien, 83, of Lancaster, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Brethren Village Retirement Community after a long illness.

Born August 29, 1932 in Overbrook, Philadelphia, she was the wife of the late J. Raymond O'Brien, and the daughter of the late Leo and Mildred (Wheatley) Costella.

She was a member of St. James Catholic Church, Lititz, and St. John Neumann Catholic Church, Lancaster.

Charlotte was a 1950 graduate of Mater Misericordiae High School in Philadelphia, and retired from the trust department at Fulton Bank where she made many life-long friends.

She enjoyed dancing, music, movies, vacations at Ocean City, NJ, and travelling to many places, but most of all, she treasured her time spent with family and friends.

Charlotte is survived by her children: Ray O'Brien, husband of Mary, Malvern, PA; Mike O'Brien, husband of Ann, Lancaster; Matt O'Brien, husband of Debbie, Middletown, DE; Chrissie Kemmler, wife of Doug, Lancaster; and Tim O'Brien, husband of Beth, Lancaster: 12 grandchildren: Erin, Liz, Martin, Kevin, Christopher, Tommy, Amy, Katie, Colleen, Sean, Allie, and Paul; and 6 great-grandchildren: Grace, Jameson, Dermot, Finn, Brody, and Kiah. She was preceded in death by a brother, Leo J. Costella, and a great-grandson, Emmet Michael O'Brien.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave, Lititz with the Rev. Robert Pagliari as Celebrant. Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 PM Friday, August 26, 2016 at Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, with the rosary being recited at 7 PM, and again one hour prior to the mass on Saturday. Burial will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Rd., Springfield, PA at 11 AM on Monday, August 29, 2016.
