McTeague, Kevin
74, of Lincoln, NH, died Tuesday, December 12, 2012. Kevin was the beloved husband of Patricia McTeague for 43 years, the devoted father of his three daughters, Lisa, Jennifer, and Shauna, and the adoring grandfather of Liam and Emma. He was born August 10, 1938 in Melrose, MA to the late James and Kathryn McTeague. He is survived by his brothers, James and Brian McTeague. His sister, Marilyn Salvi, passed in 2010. Kevin graduated with a bachelor's degree from Boston College in 1960 and a master's degree from Cornell University in 1962. He served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. Following discharge he worked as a buyer for Star Market's corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA. In 1970, he transitioned to a buyer position at Wetterau Foods in Keene, NH where aspirations developed to own and operate his own supermarket. In April 1973, Kevin and his wife and partner, Patricia, purchased a grocery store in North Woodstock, NH. For the next 20 years they owned and operated McTeague's IGA Supermarket, serving the Lincoln-Woodstock community. Going to the store everyday, interacting with customers and employees was Kevin's passion. His daughters grew up running and hiding amidst the aisles. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 18th at 12 pm at St. Joseph's Church in Lincoln, NH. Reception will follow.
