Amy Adkins
July 31, 1972 - August 21, 2016

Amy (meaning “beloved,”“dearly loved”), of Blue Ridge, Texas, passed away unexpectedly on August 21st in Rowlett, Texas, at the age of 44.

A generous and kind spirit, a giver in life and death, Amy was born July 31, 1972, in Dallas, Texas to Travis and Chris Wilson. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School in 1990. Amy began work at Bob Tomes Ford in 1993, and has worked in the business office for the past 23 years, currently as title clerk. Most of her time and energy was devoted to her children, Trey and Cassady. She worked hard and sacrificed to nurture and provide for them, to attend and participate in school functions and to enjoy life with her family. Amy loved animals of all kinds, movies especially starring Matthew McConaughey, and her Mama's homemade cheesecake. Amy always thought of others before herself, a quality evident in her decision to be a donor, bringing life-giving promise to numerous families.

Amy is survived by her parents, Travis and Chris Wilson of Rowlett; children, Trey and Cassady Adkins of Blue Ridge; sister, Melody Loyola and husband, Leo and son, Benjamin of Hawaii; sister, Vickie James of Celeste; brother Junior James and son, Josh of Elkhart; aunt Patricia Padgett of Blue Ridge; uncle Orvis Wilson of Bonham; her aunts Sheila Baccus and Linda Nichols and their families of Abilene, numerous cousins and friends and her beloved cat, Presley.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, August 27th at First Baptist Church, 316 TX Hwy 78, Blue Ridge, TX 75424 with a private burial for family following the service.
