Two area residents were killed in two separate traffic accidents in the area over the weekend.

Gregory Lynn Elliott , 19, Fancy Farm Box 35, was killed early Sunday when the automobile in which he was riding struck the side of a railroad overpass on Ky. 307 two miles north of Fulton.

Elliott was a passenger in a car driven by Ricky Hobbs, 19, Fancy Farm. Hobbs is listed in serious condition at Lourdes Hospital.

According to reports, Elliott was trapped in the wreckage for 45 minutes. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Lourdes Hospital.

Mrs. Johnie S. Adams, 52, South Fulton, Tenn., was killed in a two-car accident Saturday night on Tenn. Highway 51 in Obion County, five miles south of the Tennessee-Kentucky border. Three Tennessee residents also died in the crash.

Services for Elliott will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Jerome Catholic Church where he was a member. The Rev. Walter Hancock will officiate and burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery.

"Pallbearers will be Monty Burch, Larry Clapp, Larry Wilson, Gary Hobbs, Will Elliott, Marty Painter and Danny Wooley.

The rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock at Roy M. Lowe Funeral Home.

Elliott is survived by his father, Billy Elliott of Fancy Farm; his mother, Mrs. Bobbie Nell Elliott of Fancy Farm; a sister, Miss Lisa Ann Elliott, Fancy Farm; two brothers, Glenn Elliott, Clinton, Iowa, Jeffrey Scott Elliott, Fancy Farm; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Elliott of Fancy Farm, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clovis Helm of Lowes.

Services for Mrs. Adams will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hopkins and Brown Funeral Home in Wingo. The Rev. Herman Edward Choate will officiate and burial will take place in Salem Cemetery .

She is survived by two daughters, Miss Janice Adams and Miss Joan Adams, both of South Fulton; a son, Paul Adams, South Fulton; her mother, Mrs. Allie Waggoner, Water Valley, and a sister, Mrs. Norma Moon of Gresham, Ore.
